Wintec responds to physiotherapist shortage

Wintec is aiming to become the first new physiotherapy school in 45 years.

The Waikato institute has been working with health boards across the central North Island to develop a four-year bachelor of physiotherapy degree.

Currently, those who want to train as a physiotherapist have to study in either Auckland or Dunedin.
