Precautionary boil water notice in Putaruru now lifted

The South Waikato District Council lifted its boil water notice for the South Waikato town on Monday, 11 days after received results for a water sample showing a count of 7 E coli per 100ml of water.

South Waikato District Council communications officer Sina Tolovae said the Putāruru water supply was now safe to use again without boiling.

Note: Any residents who have been away, or have not used tap water while the boil water notice was on, should flush their taps for 30 secs prior to first use (this will pull through fresh chlorinated water)
