They might share the same birthdate but it’s highly unlikely Kate and William’s newborn will have the same name as Matt Counihan and Rachael Sadler’s bundle of joy.
Kaylin John Counihan Sadler entered the world yesterday (Monday) at 1.12pm at Waikato Hospital weighing 3360 grams.
“He’s still our prince,” said Mr Counihan.
The couple had not even considered the babies would share 22 July as a birthday. Kaylin was due next week and the new royal due last week.
“But it is pretty good,” said Ms Sadler.
Twelve babies were born in Waikato Hospital yesterday (Monday) – seven girls and five boys.
By mid afternoon today, only girls – all potential princesses – had entered the world.
Every baby born in the Waikato DHB region yesterday and today have been presented with a certificate marking their birth on two special days.
